New offers for Dugo Selo – Križevci

HŽ Infrastruktura organized a public opening of bids that arrived as part of a public procurement procedure for the works on reconstruction of existing and construction of the second track of the railway line Dugo Selo – Križevci. It is a strategic project of public importance for the Republic of Croatia and so far the largest rail infrastructure project co-financed by the EU.

Bidding was conducted transparently and results are significant number of bidders. A total of six offers were received, which will be evaluated in the shortest period of time and after selecting the best tender following the signing of the contract with the contractor. Estimated value of the works amounts to 1,278 billion, while the total value of the project, which in addition to the works includes the cost of supervision of the works, the cost of resolving property issues and the costs of unforeseen amounts to 1,517 billion (EUR 198 million).

Work on the reconstruction of existing and construction of a second track on section from Dugo Selo to Križevci should start in early 2016, with completion scheduled for September 2019th. Public bidding for the supervision of works already carried out, and most of the funds for the project have been provided by the Decision of the European Commission at the end of 2014. Based on grant by the Ministry of Maritime Affairs, Transport and Infrastructure and HŽ Infrastruktura confirmed that the project will be co-financed with 85 percent of the funds from the European Regional Development Fund, and the remaining 15 percent will be financed by national funds .
